Evaluation Societies and Associations

As evaluation practitioners, it is important to have a place where we can connect with other evaluators and keep up on current trends in evaluation, profession development related to evaluation, and other evaluation-related resources that are available.  For us, this is most readily available through membership in the American Evaluation Association (AEA). We attend their annual conference and use their website (www.eval.org) frequently. However, there are many other evaluation associations available to connect with both in the United States and around the world. Here is a list of  just a few of other others that are out there:

1) The Chicagoland Evaluation Association: evalchicago.org

2) Atlanta-area Evaluation Association: atl-eval.org

3) Federal Evaluators: fedeval.net

4) The Southern California Evaluation Association: socaleval.wordpress.com

5) The Michigan Association for Evaluation: maeeval.org

6) Baltimore Area Evaluators: baltimoreareaevaluators.org

7) The Australasian Evaluation Society: www.aes.asn.au

There are many other regional and international evaluation associations available for you to connect with. Check out the listing on EvalPartners’ website by clicking here. And if you are planning to attend AEA’s annual convention this fall in Washington, D.C. make sure to let us know so we can connect with you!
